Q & A is almost on ABC! And Washington just did this cover of Chasing Cars on Good News Week. My curry has just finished microwaving. And my tea is getting cold. Two assignments due tomorrow that I need to start/finish. All I want to do is read some more Neil Gaiman!!!!
Plan: (after watching Q & A and reading some Gaiman)… Stay up all night and finish these assignments. Skip tomorrow’s lectures. Hand in assignments before 4pm. Go to Vegesoc Dinner. Go home. Do my readings for Wednesday. On Wednesday go to lectures, tutorials, Filmsociety. Go see Jonathan Boulet. Go home. Do readings for Thursday. Sleep if I have time. On Thursday go to tutorials. During break catch up on heaps of French work. Thursday night. Go see Drama Society play or have a going away shindig for my friend’s American cousin. Go home. SLEEP.
I can be a zombie for that long, can’t I? I can rest my eyes on the 40 min train trips to uni everyday. Errrhh, I’m going to finish my tea now.
Goodnight!
Hello. Thanks for the advice from your experiences with the HSC. What are you doing this year?
What subjects did you do for Year 12 and which was your favourite?
No worries :)
For Year 12 I did English Advanced, Maths Advanced, Visual Arts, Modern History, History Extension, Chemistry, Studies of Religion I (I went to a Catholic high school), and I did Physics up until Term 2 of year 12. Favourites were definitely Visual Arts, English, Modern History, and I loved Chemistry (even though it wasn’t my best subject).
Now I’m in my second semester of a B. Political, Economic & Social Sciences degree @ USyd. (very long name for a stupid course, in my opinion). My subjects are: Government & International Relations (which I love), French (favourite subject, even though we go so fast!), Political Economy (extremely tedious, all theory), and Anthropology (don’t pick this subject, ever!! it’s compulsory with my course, and it’s bullshit).
Between you and me, and the rest of the internet reading this, I really want to transfer to a B. Arts (Languages) which was a 98.95 ATAR (my ATAR wasn’t high enough for that course). I’m just really liking languages, and everything else is a bit bland. I’m still doing my course for now, cause Political Economy would be very useful in understanding “how the world works” (they use that phrase to attract students to choose the subject!). But in the end I just really want to get into Graduate Entry Medicine (I’ve done all my research, so not doing a Science undergraduate degree was a very good choice). But I’m still being all existential and indecisive, and not knowing what to do… cause I’m not doing very well at uni at the moment (academic-wise) :(
Sorry for the rant! I hope your Trials went well :)

and i thought Wikipedia was bad….
You know how Wikipedia is so great with Popular Culture slash reading up on background info about any particular subject slash spending three hours on the site looking at article after article after article because you’ve opened so many tabs of different Wikipedia pages, and you might not even remember how you found that article in the first place….
well, it’s happening to me, but on Tumblr!
I’m tracing the reblogged item back to its original Tumblr, then find more interesting things, and some more! (that’s why I’ve Tumbled so much this evening). Or it’s like, hey that’s a cool username *click* … one hour later ….
/I have assignments to do!!!!!!!!/ and shit, it’s almost 8.30pm…. oh hi, absence of wordcount for assignments…
