spanielhearted:

my biffle resa is in year eleven and i’m tutoring her for english, she needs to analyse two short stories and compare them or whatever, the only problem is i’ve never really been all that keen on short stories, so i don’t really know what to recommend. the only short stories i’ve read that i can think of are edgar allen poe and oscar wilde… please, suggest others? i don’t want to fail as a tutor!

stuff i’ve been up to… not much really…

I’ve been incredibly lazy (which I despise) in terms of internet posting and such. Apologies to all. I will eventually post some interesting things and upload + scan my photos. I’m also waiting to finish my roll of 120mm film and 2 x rolls of 35mm. I have some photos of my adventure to near-the-Blue-Mountains (because we didn’t have enough time to make it to the actual Mountains, but we found some pretty cool places and had fun… will post soon).

I’ve had heaps of hours at work this week. Weird, cause I’m Casual, not part-time or full-time. So moneyz for me. But I’m really tired and exhausted. I don’t know how people can work five days a week at my workplace. It’s hell! (Just think of the $$$).

My mother also does this thing where she gives people their presents like two weeks earlier. Two days ago she gave me a red envelope of moneyz, because she doesn’t actually know me, and would never know what to get me for a present. My friend Stefanie is leaving for Canberra tomorrow so she gave me my b’day present early. A photo frame of one of our finest moments at school which I will cherish forever (well, it was a school event anyway… not on the school grounds), and also a lovely leather bounded collection of W. Somerset Maugham’s short stories. She wrote a b’day message inside but I was instructed to read this on the day of my birthday.

It’s still six more days until my b’day, and I can feel myself already beginning to go numb. I wanted to venture out to Scone and do some pondering by myself, but I’m going to sit in a bar instead with my friend Andrew, and we’re going to see A Prophet for free (he has free tickets). I hope that plan doesn’t fail. If so, then I’ll just sleep and stay away from people to avoid getting worse. I hope my friends don’t get angry with me for this.

Oh yeah, so I bought a new watch yesterday with some of the money my mother gave me. My wrist doesn’t feel naked anymore! It’s from Fossil. They have really nice things. I usually have conversations with nice people/strangers/workers in shops, because I’m friendly, I hope that’s not too weird? The guy in the Fossil shop was probably freaked out, but I just really like watches and prying into people’s lives. (I find people/everyone/everything fascinating). And I also tend to go on tangents quite a bit and get really excited about stuffs.

Also the academic assembly-thing that my school held wasn’t too bad. It was nice to see all my teachers again. It was cut short though, so we couldn’t all say something. I really wanted to. Ah well.

So now I’m going to finish cleaning my room, wardrobe, desk, bookshelves; and perhaps I’ll upload and scan photos if I haven’t fallen asleep yet. Skins episode three also beckons! And so does sleeping early for work tomorrow.

Goodnight.

THIS IS STUFF WHAT I GOT FOR MY BIRTHDAY that I’ve been meaning to post for awhile. Not pictured: Ticket to see Spring Awakening from Cindy and two tickets for Wicked from my Nana and Aunty. I think I did pretty well, I wasn’t really expecting this kind of haul ESPECIALLY from my friends.

OH MY GAHD, RAY BRADBURY!! READ IT NOW! READ IT NOW! :)
