Willpower
Today in Studies of Relgion I at school, we watched a dvd documenting three different Muslims from different countries, preparing for Hajj (pilgrimage to Mecca for Muslims).
As most people am aware, I am not a strong believer of organised religion or cults myself. But I am always inspired by the people who follow their faith regardless of comments or taunts from the people around them or the media.
I may not be a believer of any religion, but that does not mean that I am against it.
That would be a sect of your own, if you were against someone’s faith or discriminate against them.
But I am so engaged at the Islamic rituals and how strict they are.
I find a majority of them to be farfetched, but am so mesmerised at the willpower of anyone who sacrifices their life to their faith.
To experience a spiritual awakening that would supposedly make them a better person.
I envy those that have the willpower to follow their faith.
And not only them.
But anyone who actually has faith, and believes in it; that has really supported them through the tough times in life.
