Trekking to the Blue Mountains area with my lovely friend Stefanie for one last pondering adventure before she leaves for ANU, Canberra.
We will decide what to wear/say at the school’s academic assembly thing. Quite a silly assembly, but I want a flower and to see my teachers because I miss them. Otherwise I wouldn’t go. I don’t like how the school’s assistant principal parades around ATARs. It really is just a number, and in the end high school is such a minuscule part of life. Perhaps I should point this out… that’s IF I’m allowed to speak because I didn’t receive high-90s. Instead I barely scraped a 90 :) [which I was very happy with anyway. I worked hard for it!!]

Dinner at Wagamama + Go see Wicked the Musical with my younger sister in the evening.

at least it will give us something meaningful to do?

you’re right!! i completely forgot about the whole power chords issue. whenever i take my laptop out, the chords are stuffed underneath everything in my bag.
I wanted to buy the sleeve that looked like an old book.

i wish i could do ALL language studies! the B. Arts (Languages) would have been so perfect for me… too bad I didn’t get 98.9!!!!! silly course cut-offs.

i really want to see my uni timetable. getting timetables on the first day back at school was the best thing! i loved organising everything and new stationary… i just wanted to receive my timetable then go home and not go to any classes for a while :)

I’m stuck between choosing either Germanic Studies or French Studies for uni. I want to learn both languages but I can only choose one (cause of my course outline, etc.). For my other course I enrolled in last week I chose German. But then I thought it would be a good idea to do French because it’s widely spoken around the world and in a lot of countries/the UN, etc. etc. I chose French Studies for the course I enrolled in today. I also enjoy French cinema a lot more, but German just sounds incredibly awesome and angry all the time. French is also a bit easier to pick up. Now I’m just thinking I should do Chinese Studies, because I can’t speak Mandarin (I speak not-so-fluent Cantonese), and I can’t read/write Chinese. It would be helpful in the future, considering the Chinese are pretty much taking over the world. One of my uncles from my dad’s side of the family said he could teach me Mandarin. So maybe I should rule the Chinese Studies option out.

What do you think I should do?

And if you can speak either German and/or French, how difficult is it to learn/pick up?
